<p><strong>YDO Expands Representation for Oklahoma’s 39 Tribal Nations</strong></p><p>Oklahoma City, OK - April 29th, 2026 - The Young Democrats of Oklahoma (YDO) are proud to announce the formation of the Indigenous Caucus, a landmark initiative dedicated to uplifting Indigenous leadership, advancing equity, and ensuring meaningful representation within the state’s political landscape.</p><p>As home to 39 tribal nations, Oklahoma holds one of the largest Indigenous populations in the country. The creation of this caucus reflects YDO’s commitment to an inclusive organization that honors the sovereignty, history, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities.</p><p>“Delanie Seals has been appointed as the inaugural Chair of the Indigenous Caucus,” stated Daren Quiñonez, YDO’s Vice President. “Through her leadership, the caucus will focus on building power, fostering collaboration, and expanding opportunities for Indigenous voices. This effort represents a continued investment in ensuring all voices are heard, valued, and empowered.”</p><p>Delanie Seals, a member of the Chickasaw Nation who also chairs the national Young Democrats of America Indigenous Caucus, will lead the new state chapter. For Seals, this launch is both a political milestone and a personal one.&nbsp;</p><p>“I was born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma on Chickasaw Territory, so establishing the first caucus here is super special to me," said Seals. “Our political history is deeply intertwined with Tribes, even almost becoming the State of Sequoyah before Oklahoma statehood in 1907. This history is what inspires me to continue advocating for all Tribal Nations, regardless of federal recognition and especially including our Freedmen Relatives. We, as the YDO Indigenous Caucus, aim to empower other young Native folks to become more politically involved in all forms of government and to continue building up the foundation our ancestors have laid for us. <h4>Young Democrats of Oklahoma Launch Historic Indigenous Caucus</h4>

<p><em>The new chapter mobilizes young progressives across Cleveland County to shape Oklahoma’s future.</em></p><p><strong>Norman, OK - October 23, 2025 </strong>- The Young Democrats of Oklahoma (YDO) proudly announces the chartering for the Cleveland County Young Democrats, a new chapter dedicated to empowering young leaders and building progressive momentum in one of the state’s faster-growing and most diverse communities.</p><p>With thousands of young voters in the area, Cleveland County represents a critical hub for youth engagement. The new chapter will help organize young Oklahomans ages 18 to 35 across Norman, Moore, South OKC, Noble, Lexington, Slaughterville, and surrounding communities to connect, collaborate, and take action on issues that matter to them.</p><p>“Cleveland County has always been a critical hub of Democratic politics for our state. The county is home to our state’s largest university and thousands of young people of all walks of life. We are confident that Cleveland County Young Democrats can help build the infrastructure for our party to thrive” - Ryan Moses, President</p><p>This chapter was made possible by a collection of young people who came together not only to imagine a better Oklahoma, but to build it. While many hands shaped this effort, <strong>Jess Yeverino (Secretary), Caroline Lancaster (Vice-President), and Ryan Moses (President) </strong>have taken on executive roles and dedicated countless hours to keeping the momentum going. Their leadership reflects a broader community of young dems who made this charter a reality.</p><p>“We’re thrilled to officially welcome the Cleveland County Young Democrats as one of our newest chapters,” said Justin Cypert-Worley, President of the Young Democrats of Oklahoma. “In just a short amount of time, this team has built an incredible foundation from hosting multiple events, partnering with community leaders in Norman and Moore, and getting young people engaged in local politics. Ryan and their executive board are movers and shakers who are already making a real impact.
